New Medication Requirements for 2012
Before Jo Nurse can give your son any medication, the Medication Administration section of the annual Health History and Exam Form must be completed, signed by your son's medical provider and on file in the Deerfoot Health Center. This includes prescription as well as over the counter medication. Please remember to have this form completed and returned to the DL Health Center 4 weeks before your son's arrival to camp.
| Required: All prescription or over the counter medications administered daily must be sent to camp in unit dose packaging for the camper. Since most local pharmacies will not package medication as required, Deerfoot recommends using Group RX, a pharmacy service that specializes in camp medication packaging. | ![]() |
Medication prescribed on an as needed basis (prn) may be provided by the parent at check-in and dropped off with the nurse in the Health Center. This includes EpiPens and rescue inhalers. All medication brought from home must be in the original container, labeled with the camper’s name and within expiration date. No exceptions.
